Between the losses of five starters to graduation, and the departure of the Theobold brothers to TR South, this year's lineup says goodbye to seven wrestlers that provided 161 wins in 2011.
The Hawks do return four starters in Jesse Meaney, Joe Phillips, Korey Tomei, and Ken Johnson, and there's almost a dozen more that got some varsity experience in 2011.
While it may be somewhat of a rebuilding year for the Hawks, there are a few wrestlers here that could put together solid seasons, and if the newcomers come along quickly this team will still be able to register their share of wins.
Wrestler To Watch - (Sr) Jesse Meaney
Meaney, who enters the season with 57 career wins, is a 2-time District champion and a Region medal winner. He'll be looking to join Mark Francis, Kevin Malast, and James Lawson as the 4th 3-time District champion in the program's history, and will be in the hunt for a trip to Atlantic City in March.
